Nobody noticed.

Picture a woman on a domestic flight. Window seat. Laptop open. A cup of chai going cold on the tray table. To everyone around her, she was just another professional heading to a meeting.

What nobody could see & what nobody needed to see, was that she was also pumping. Quietly. Completely hands-free. Without excusing herself to a bathroom cubicle, without a bag of tubes and cords, without interrupting anything at all.

The question that started everything

Why does the rest of the world have this,
and India doesn't?

Wearable breast pumps existed. In the United States, Europe, Singapore. Mothers there had been pumping hands-free for years, on conference calls, in taxis, at their desks, without anyone being any the wiser.

But in India?
The options were a heavy hospital-grade machine tethered to a wall or a manual pump that required you to stop everything and use both hands. For the urban Indian mother who is often navigating professional ambition, family expectations and the quiet pressure to do all of it seamlessly, neither was good enough.

That gap was the beginning of Solyymoms. Not a gap in the market. A gap in what Indian mothers deserved.

A note from the founder

I didn't build this for the market.
I built it for the mother I kept seeing.

She's the one who goes back to work at six or eight weeks because she has to or because she wants to, and spends the rest of the day quietly navigating the logistics of still being a mother while being everything else at the same time.

She doesn't complain about it. She just figures it out. And she deserves tools that are as capable as she is.

Solyymoms exists because I believe the Indian working mother is one of the most remarkable people on earth and she has been quietly underserved for too long.
